Helinox Table One Hard Top Review: 110 lb Rating, 15 Inches Tall

The verdict

A note on method: we haven't bought, set up or used a Table One. This review reads Helinox's product page, its warranty policy and its replacement-parts listings, all on 2026-09-22. Every number links to its source, and the score follows our published scoring rubric.

What you're paying for

Capacity. Helinox rates the Table One Hard Top to 110 lb (50 kg) when assembled. That sits in our 100 to 199 lb band, a build score of 6. The top doesn't earn our metal-or-wood point: Helinox describes an “inner polycarbonate sheet” that “creates a flat, stable table surface,” inside bluesign-certified recycled 600D polyester. Helinox doesn't say whether the 110 lb assumes an evenly spread load, so treat it as a ceiling for weight resting on the table.

Frame. A green anodized DAC TH72M aluminum alloy frame with proprietary nylon resin hubs. “Shock-corded poles lock the legs into place,” with “no tools needed,” per Helinox. It weighs 1 lb 13 oz assembled and 2 lb packed, in a full-zip case with a daisy chain and webbing handle that packs to 16 x 4.5 x 5 inches.

Warranty. Helinox covers “manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years from the original owner's date of purchase,” for products bought from an authorized Helinox dealer, and says it “will repair or replace, at its discretion, any manufacturing defect in these products free of charge.” Five years scores 7 on our warranty band: longer than the 1-year terms common among the camp kitchens we score, shorter than the lifetime terms ALPS and CampTime publish for their tables.

Parts. Helinox's US store sells a Table One Hardtop Replacement Top and a replacement case. A replacement frame is listed only on the Helinox Europe store, which a US buyer can't count on, so we don't score it. The top is the main wear part on a table like this, and a listed main wear part scores 7 for repairability.

What lasts and what wears

We can't tell you how a Table One ages, because we haven't owned one. What we can read is where Helinox draws the line between a defect and wear, and which parts it sells.

• The fabric top. The polyester sleeve over the polycarbonate sheet is the surface you touch every trip. Helinox says it is “easy to wipe clean,” and its warranty counts fabrics fading over time from use and exposure as wear and tear, which isn't covered. The replacement top is the fix, and it is sold on helinox.com.
• Heat. Helinox publishes no heat rating for the top, and its warranty excludes accidents, fire included. Keep a lit stove off it.
• Hubs and poles. The frame is aluminum with nylon resin hubs. Helinox treats moving parts wearing out through normal use as wear and tear, and the replacement frame isn't on its US store.
• The case. The zip case is sold separately as a replacement, so a torn case doesn't retire the table.

The pattern here is the reverse of most cook stations and budget tables in our registry: the part most likely to wear first is the part the maker sells. That is why the Table One scores 7 for repairability while tables with nothing listed score 0.

Fit: 15 inches tall, 23 x 15.5 inches across

At 15 inches, the Table One is a low table. For scale, ALPS publishes a 19-inch seat height for its King Kong chair, so the Table One's top would sit 4 inches below that chair's seat. The 23 x 15.5-inch top is 357 square inches. It scores the base 4 for fit: no adjustable height, less than 1,000 square inches of surface, a working height under 28 inches, no shelf and no stove rating.

Its natural partner is a low, packable chair. Helinox's own Chair One weighs 1 lb 15 oz, packs to 14 x 4.5 x 4.5 inches and is rated to 320 lb, so the pair weighs 3 lb 12 oz together. Helinox publishes a 25.5-inch overall height for the Chair One but no seat height, so we can't check the table-to-seat fit from the numbers. One sizing note: Helinox also lists a Table One Hard Top L on its replacement-top page. We haven't scored it, and every figure in this review is for the regular size.

ALPS Mountaineering Camp Table: nearly the same score, a real tabletop

ALPS builds the Camp Table with an aluminum top and frame. The 28 x 28-inch top is 784 square inches, more than twice the Table One's, and it stands 27 inches high. It weighs 6 lb, packs to 28 x 7.5 x 4 inches, and ALPS warrants it against defects for the life of the product. ALPS lists replacement legs and a cross bar for it, but no replacement top, and publishes no load rating, so it scores 4 for build. Buyer-first: if you don't need a table under 2 lb, the Camp Table gives you a far bigger surface and a longer warranty for a 0.1-point difference.

Camp Time Roll-a-Table with Adjustable Legs: low when you want it, dining height when you don't

CampTime rates the Roll-a-Table to 100 lb, and its 32 x 32-inch top sets at 12 heights from 19 to 30 inches, so the same table works beside a low chair and at dinner. Its warranty on defects “has no time limit,” and CampTime lists legs, cross bars, leg tips and a roll-top as parts. It weighs 10 lb and rolls to 32 inches long by 5.5 in diameter, so it is a car-camping table, not a pack table. Who should buy the Table One Hard Top, and who should skip it

Buy it if

• Every ounce and inch in your pack matters: 1 lb 13 oz, packing to 16 x 4.5 x 5 inches.
• You sit in low chairs and want a surface for drinks, a plate or a lantern beside you.
• You want a published load rating (110 lb) and a replacement top you can buy when the fabric wears.
• You buy from an authorized Helinox dealer and keep the receipt, since the warranty depends on it.

Skip it if

• You want to eat at it from a standard camp chair; the top is 15 inches off the ground.
• You plan to cook on it. Helinox publishes no heat rating, and its warranty excludes fire damage.
• You want a lifetime warranty; the ALPS Camp Table has one and scores within 0.1.
• You need room for more than a couple of place settings; the top is 23 x 15.5 inches.
