Coleman cot replacement canvas: why you can't buy it, and the cot makers that do sell parts

The Coleman answer, quoted

Coleman answers this question itself, on its own product page. Under the Trailhead II Camping Cot, a shopper asked “Is it possible to get a replacement canvas?” Coleman Consumer Care replied that “canvas is not sold separately” (2024-09-21). Asked about replacement end bars, it answered that “this unit's replacement parts are not available for individual sale” (2025-09-19). The most recent answer, from 2025-12-30: “currently, this Trailhead II Camping Cot's replacement parts are not available for individual sale.” A question about a missing carry bag got the same reply.

Those answers are about the Trailhead II, but the rest of Coleman's cot line is no different on paper. Coleman's replacement parts page lists four categories, “Tent Parts,” “Grill & Stove Parts,” “Cooler Parts” and “Lighting Parts,” with no cot section, so nothing is listed for the Pack-Away, ComfortSmart Deluxe or Airbed Cot - Queen either. Coleman's help center adds that “Some replacement parts can be ordered through eReplacementparts.com and OldColemanParts.com,” and that “Coleman does not guarantee the availability of replacement parts.” We did not find a cot-specific listing at either partner, and we haven't verified that one exists.

That is why every Coleman cot we score gets 0 of 10 on repairability, and it's the biggest single reason the Pack-Away (4.7) and the Trailhead II (4.4) sit near the bottom of our cot scores despite 300 lb ratings and steel frames. How the repairability bands work is on our methodology page. The honest answer to “Coleman cot replacement canvas” is: not from Coleman, and next time, buy a cot whose maker sells the bed.

Which cot makers sell replacement parts

Here is what each cot maker we researched lists, read on 2026-09-22. “Listed” means the maker names the part for the model on its own store or help center, even if you order by email or phone.

Brand by brand

TETON Sports: the whole cot, by email

TETON's help center lists spare parts for “the Outfitter XXL Camp Cot, Universal Camp Cot, and Adventurer Camp Cot”: the “Cot Top Fabric Bed – The canvas fabric that forms the sleeping surface,” plus the cot end bar, side rail, middle leg, outer leg, feet, end-bar frame caps and side-rail end nub, and for pivot-arm cots the pivot end bar, pivot arm and pivot leg. Feet are “sold individually”; each cot has three legs, so TETON says to order six feet for a full set. Parts aren't in TETON's online store: “just send an email to our Customer Experience Team” with your name, shipping and billing address, and the parts and quantities. TETON's Customer Experience channel also publishes a video, “How to replace your cot top.”

Owners of older TETON cots are covered too: TETON says the Outfitter XL is “an updated version of the Teton Universal XL Cot” and the Outfitter L an updated Adventurer. The warranty is lifetime against defects: TETON “may provide support, replacement parts, and full replacements as appropriate,” though “Normal wear and tear are not defects.”

Disc-O-Bed: every part, in its own store

Disc-O-Bed's FAQ is the most direct answer any cot maker gives: “Please visit discobedshop.com or contact our Customer Service department and they will be happy to replace just the part that is missing. DO NOT use substitute parts.” The store lists sleeping mats by size (28-inch Large, 35-inch XL, 40-inch 2XL, each “Sold Individually”), straight and round end frames, straight and swaged rails, the black discs that join the frame, rubber foot plugs, 2XL stabilizer bars (“Set of 4”), stack adapters and locking straps. Each model's assembly PDF walks through “STEP 3. ATTACHING SLEEPING MAT TO SIDE RAILS,” which is the same job as fitting a new mat. The warranty is 5 years “on all materials and workmanship,” and Disc-O-Bed says it's void if parts are modified.

ALPS Mountaineering: one bed, a bag, and a phone number

ALPS sells a “Ready Lite Cot Bed Replacement,” described as “Replacement fabric for your Ready Lite Cot,” 28 by 78 inches, in stock when we checked. It also lists a Table/Cot Replacement Bag that fits the Escalade Cot (Large and XL), the Lightweight Cot and the Ready Lite. No replacement bed is listed for the Escalade or the Lightweight Cot. For anything else, ALPS says: “In some instances, we are able to provide replacement parts to get your gear back into the field. To check availability and pricing, please call 800-344-2577,” and “All replacement part sales are final.” The warranty covers “defects in materials or workmanship for the life of the product” and excludes “normal wear and tear, accidental damage, alterations, misuse, neglect, storm/wind damage, burns, UV damage, and commercial use.”

Helinox: a sheet per cot, poles by warranty

Helinox sells a replacement sheet made for each cot. The Cot One Convertible Replacement Sheet (“100% recycled tear- and water-resistant 600D polyester with reinforced panels”) was in stock in black on 2026-09-22; the Cot Max Replacement Sheet was listed but sold out. Helinox doesn't list cot poles or hubs. Its FAQ says a broken leg pole goes to “Our dedicated warranty team,” which may mean “sending a replacement pole or repairing the item at our service center.” The warranty is 5 years for the original owner and excludes “normal wear and tear.” The two Helinox cots are compared part by part in our Helinox Cot One vs Cot Max comparison.

Kamp-Rite: carry bags and tent-cot hardware

Kamp-Rite's accessories pages list carry bags for every cot, including the Double Kwik-Cot (CB321), plus “Tri-Fold Replacement Hinge,” “Replacement Bolts for Tri-Fold Hinges” and a “Tri-Fold Oversize Tent Cot Tent Leg” for its tent cots, tent poles, rain flies and a compact tent cot “Tent Top Replacement.” No replacement cot fabric is listed for any Kwik-Cot or military-style cot. The warranty is “a 1-year unlimited warranty from manufacture defect,” and Kamp-Rite asks for a copy of the original invoice.

Kelty, Slumberjack and REDCAMP

Kelty gives furniture one year and lists no parts for its Lowdown Cot, which its site showed as sold out; it says non-warranty damage “may be repaired for a reasonable rate.” Slumberjack also gives furniture one year, and its cots and chairs page lists no cots at all, only “Floor Saver Cot Booties.” REDCAMP publishes no warranty term, only “a 30-day return policy,” and its store lists no cot parts.

Military-style cots and surplus covers

There's no single maker behind GI-pattern cots, so there's no single parts source. Kamp-Rite's Military Style Folding Cot (300 lb, 76 x 25 x 16 inches, aluminum legs with steel hinges) was out of stock on 2026-09-22, and Kamp-Rite lists no replacement cover for it. Coleman's cross-bar Trailhead II, as quoted above, has no parts at all.

Surplus stores fill part of the gap. Billings Army Navy Surplus, for example, lists a “Replacement cover for folding aluminum military cot - olive drab nylon fabric, 77 inches x 28 inches,” in stock when we checked. The page doesn't name the cot models it fits, and it isn't a cot maker. Measure your frame's rail length and spacing, and compare them with the listing, before you order any third-party cover.

Before you order a part

• Try the warranty first. A defect may get you the part for nothing. TETON and ALPS cover defects for life, Disc-O-Bed and Helinox for 5 years, Coleman and Kamp-Rite for 1. Normal wear is excluded by TETON, ALPS and Helinox.
• Have your proof of purchase. TETON covers the original owner with proof of purchase from TETON or an authorized retailer. Helinox requires an authorized dealer. ALPS excludes gear bought used or from unauthorized third-party sellers. Kamp-Rite asks for the original invoice.
• Match the exact model and size. Disc-O-Bed's mats come in three widths; Helinox makes a different sheet for each cot; TETON's parts list covers the Outfitter XXL, Universal and Adventurer.
• Use the maker's part. Disc-O-Bed says “DO NOT use substitute parts” and voids its warranty if parts are modified.

If the bed is torn and nothing is sold

If your maker sells no replacement bed, a patch can buy time. Our guide to fixing a torn camping chair covers patching and sewing sling fabric. On a cot, treat any patch as a stopgap: the bed carries your whole weight, so stay well under the rating until you replace it. When you do, this is the moment to buy a cot whose maker sells the bed.

What to look for in a cot you can keep fixing

• The bed, named for your model, on the maker's own site. The sleeping fabric is a cot's main wear part. TETON, Disc-O-Bed, Helinox and ALPS (Ready Lite) list one.
• Frame parts listed too. Legs, end bars and rails turn a bent frame into a repair. TETON and Disc-O-Bed list them; Helinox and ALPS route frame problems through warranty or phone.
• A clear way to order. An online store (Disc-O-Bed, ALPS, Helinox) or a documented email process (TETON) beats “call and ask.”
• A published how-to. TETON's cot-top video and Disc-O-Bed's assembly PDFs show the swap before you buy.
• A written warranty worth using. Lifetime (TETON, ALPS) or 5 years (Disc-O-Bed, Helinox), against 1 year from Coleman and none published from REDCAMP.

Cots whose makers sell the bed

The TETON and the Disc-O-Bed XL both score 10 of 10 on repairability; the ALPS and the Helinox score 7 because only the bed is listed.
